Soap and papercrafting

This week I have been busy soaping and getting the projects ready for my 7 day Back to School YouTube mini series that starts Sunday 23rd August. I accidentally got my dates wrong on my last YouTube video and said the back to school series starts this coming Sunday. Oops!

I’ve been getting a lot of soap ready this week so that it will be cured and ready to be wrapped for September when the shop opens.

The soaps I’ve been making this week are:

Pink Himalayan Salt Soap with Shea Butter – I got this idea from Bramble Berryimage (7)

Lavender soap with white ‘frosting’ and dried lavender buds sprinkled on topimage (6)

Cupcake scented soapy cupcakes with Shea butter

This afternoon I’m hoping to work on a Soapy cake scented with Christmas cake Fragrance oil. from Gracefruit I’m not sure what it’s going to look like yet as still I still haven’t decided on the colours. I’m not sure whether to go with white ‘frosting’ on the cake, or whether to go with something ‘christmassy’ like red……. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated :-)

On the paper crafting side, I had my little man Tommy helping me this morning. One of the back to school projects is a decorated notebook so he was looking through trying to help me decide what colours I should decorate the notebook with.20150812-Tommy He loves being in my craft room so anything I can find for him to help with, I try and do, although sometimes his help can actually end up taking me 10 times longer! :-)

Just a quick blog today so that’s all for now.
